Garden of Hope

The Farm Training Program (Garden of Hope) of Andrew’s House of Hope is a collaborative effort with Lima Community Church to develop a small scale, sustainable garden farm as a means of stable employment, meaningful work, nutritious food supply, and community involvement for those working and benefiting from the land.

Love grows here.

The Farm Training Program is designed with particular attention given to the clients of Andrew’s House of Hope as they are on their journey of recovery. The goal of the Farm Training Program is to develop tangible skills, build confidence, and promote a holistically healthy lifestyle as well as provide a means of stable and meaningful employment.

The program will serve as a full-time or part-time means of employment to the clients of Andrew’s House of Hope that should choose to participate. Lima Community Church has generously made accessible a portion of their farmland for the express purpose of this small-scale garden farm venture. As production of the garden farm grows over the years, we will have room for expansion.

Consider volunteering for the Garden of Hope.

Communications to volunteers can be challenging and because of this, we utilize a mobile app called “Remind”. This app gives us the ability to easily communicate to our volunteers regarding the Garden of Hope and working days for the project.

If you would like to get involved with the project, join our Remind group today. Download the “Remind” app on your smartphone and use the class code @8kf2a7 to join. You can also click “Join Class” within the Remind widget on this page.
